News last night said a cougar was spotted by a Deputy Sheriff in Munising area, He contacted the DNR and a biologist went with him and confirmed the tracts were that of a cougar. Thats all I know about it.

While having coffee at the tall timber last week a lady said she saw one walking down the road on the back side of princeton, first she thought it was a bob cat, but when it turnesd the long rope tail was very prominate.

Yeah, got enough of a problem now-----and in many places.

A gal from our local beauty salon was driving home one evening around 7 o'clock in
July & a cougar bounded across the road about 50 feet in front of her truck.  She is
an avid fishing/camping/hunter/outdoor person and has seen a lot and it certainly
startled her but she was upset more that she didn't have her camera but it happened
so quick she said she never would have gotten a pic.   This was about 8 miles from us.
