News last night said a cougar was spotted by a Deputy Sheriff in Munising area, He contacted the DNR and a biologist went with him and confirmed the tracts were that of a cougar. Thats all I know about it.
While having coffee at the tall timber last week a lady said she saw one walking down the road on the back side of princeton, first she thought it was a bob cat, but when it turnesd the long rope tail was very prominate.

Yeah, got enough of a problem now-----and in many places.
A gal from our local beauty salon was driving home one evening around 7 o'clock in July & a cougar bounded across the road about 50 feet in front of her truck. She is an avid fishing/camping/hunter/outdoor person and has seen a lot and it certainly startled her but she was upset more that she didn't have her camera but it happened so quick she said she never would have gotten a pic. This was about 8 miles from us.
