hey is that a touch of no velvet on that antler i see ? lol  i do believe there starting to loose the velvet . now i can see some polished antler's and see what will be my shooter for archery season .

I do believe that is the inner  flesh colored part of the ear you are seeing. Trail cams are still fun though. It is almost like hunting waiting to see what is on them. Good luck on your hunt. Chris


Things that I found helpful by living this long.    The purpose of fighting is to win..
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.  The final weapon is the brain.   All else is supplemental.
1.    Don't pick a fight with an old man.  If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
2.   If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
3.   I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.
4.   When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.

Its been starting to get cool around these parts the last few nights.  Tonights low is supposed to be 50*, the coolest its been since spring.  The air has that certain smell to it that says fall.  Wont be long now till the leaves start to turn.  Cant wait!!
