SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Officials say they won't charge rocker and avid hunter Ted Nugent with any violations for hunting pheasants in South Dakota after some of his hunting privileges were revoked in California.

South Dakota is part of a compact in which states can honor each other's license revocations or suspensions.

Andy Alban in the Department of Game, Fish and Parks said it was determined that Nugent's license revocation in California for deer hunting only didn't disqualify him from getting a license to hunt pheasants.

Nugent hunted last October while in South Dakota for a speaking engagement.

what the hell did he do to get his deer license revoked in CA?

he booked a hunt with an outfitter but didn't double check the license. Outfitter had wrong licenses when Ted found out the hard way he manned up and took the charge. I bet he never does that again.
