Finally took some time to look at my favorite forums and boy, they are all so quiet! I get the feeling all the Michigan guys are in the garage loading duffles and getting ready - you can feel it in the air... deer day is almost here!

only thing happening here Mike is all the spammers. Don't know how to keep the forum free of them. Might see you at the gun club meeting tomorrow night--we always move it up 1 week because of deer season.

been doing my best on the bow thing, have not connected yet....FRUSTRATED AS HELL buddy saw three different bucks last weekend, put a fu ing arrow in a neck shot spent all day sat looking for it. never found it, not sure on the blood, but good hair, so the arrow passed, but those 1/4 to shots, let alone neck shots....just too risky for me. The thing is that very day, he asked about them. Not a good bleeding, or good recovery shot. would not take one unless I felt I could DEFINATELY HIT BOTH LUNGS. then he asks why I am FRUSTRATED....I have spent more time looking for his fucking wounded animals than, well not that I have had to track any as I havn't shot one yet, but I would feel 100 % better if I had found better than 25% of his animals. I can only really give him one of the four I have tracked this year. A buck he shot at about 30 yards, it either ducked the arrow a bit or he was a couple inches high. The arrow hit the shoulder blade, and broke aff abuot 5-6 inches in. We spent five hours looking for a hit deeer with no exit wound. A neck shot, A forty yard shot GUESSED AT 30, and found a doe. The screwball smokes, and can't sit still to save his life......SO THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING WRONG FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS.....

I been getting ready for the big day and baiting for Bluejay and Wingshooter who are now hunting over here with me. And we got some great buck sign and some monsters running around. I just hope one of us gets one of the big boys.
