My father inlaw passed away tonight just after dark.He had been going downhill the past few months from problems with blocked arteries/heart and diabetes.I won't go into detail but he was put on Hospice Care and was being taken care of at home in his last days.My wife Becky was staying with him on weekends .two weeks ago he stayed here at our house and he sat at the open back door hoping to kill one last deer before he passed.I wish I could say he was successful but it wasn't to be.
We spent the night with him last nite and Becky stayed there today and I was on my way there after an evening hunt when she called and told me he fell and he wasn't responding.She is taking it very hard even though we were prepared.It's been two years since her mom passed and she had done the same,caring for her when she passed.It will probably be hardest for our 11yr old Jonathon.He has lost my stepdad,my mom,Beckys mom and now her dad.....all in the last 5 years.
