Well, we are home, and there are a few things I need to say before I start with the pic's and stories of our great adventure to Texas.

First, I want to thank Dick Hench for inviting myself-Hunter to visit his brothers ranch in Texas. Without this invitation, none of these wonderful memories would have ever occurred. THANK YOU DICK!!!!

Secondly, I want to thank Rod-Mary Hench for allowing us to experience the wonderment of a world they have obviously worked so very hard to create. They are truley some of the kindest hearted ppl I have ever had the honor to meet. Rod is a 1st class gentleman in every respect, who considers it a high priority to teach the youth that visit his ranch the values of hunting and responsibilities that go along with it. That alone makes him tops on my list. Mary is 1 of the most gracious women I have ever met, and allowed us to use her beautiful home as it was our own. I also have to mention that she is a gourmet cook, and her southern cornbread could easily cause a fistfight over the last piece. Rod-Mary, From the bottom of my heart, I want to THANK YOU both. May the good Lord Bless you each and every day for what you have done for young ppl throughout your lives. The world is a richer place for having ppl like you both in it.

OK, that being said, here is a picture of me-Hunter in the place where he took his 1st hog ever.

Well, they sure are easier to kill.

Used Dana's grinder to make all the boned meat into breakfast sausage last night. Ended up with almost 35lbs. We fried some up, and it is FAR better than anything you could buy at the store. There's actually MEAT in this stuff.
