So.... I went to a popular local gun/hunting store today. Was looking to buy a handgun.Found a couple 9mm glocks and rugers around $500. Being low on cash money,i had brung along a couple of expensive guns I have to maybe trade in or sell.

Opened up the case on my mint condition camo Remington 11-87 SP combo vent rib/rifled barrel with all chokes plus turkey choke,Nikon scope, sling, case. About $1200 new.Gun has been shot maybe 50 times. They offered me $300....... NO THANKS!

Opened up the case on my mint condition Remington R-25 [AR10] .243 with Mueller scope,Harris bi-pod,sling,and [2] 20 round mags, hard case. $1800 invested. Gun has been shot 14 times. They offered me $500.....

I asked....... WHAT,NO VASELINE ? ''ARE YOU KIDDING ME '' ?

No,thats the best we can do.Thats 70 percent of book value on a used gun according to condition.Sorry.

They didn't even add in the accessories. Needless to say,I told them I wouldn't be buying a pistol there. I don't plan on EVER going back ! There were alot of used guns there so they must have found a few desperate people hurting for cash !
Makes me sick just thinking about it !

Here's some links to a couple great products. Kinda pricey but I know a couple guys
that have ''souped up'' their turkey guns and can make 60 + yard shots with confidence. We all want to call them in close but sometimes it doesn't work that way !

I'm getting a Rhino .660 choke and Nitro Economy #4copper x 5copper x 7hevishot® loads. choke is $100 and box of 10 shells is $55.50

Rhino will lengthen and polich the forcing cone of your barrel for $70 and polish the barrel for $55

http://www.rhinochokes.com/turkey_chokes.htm

http://www.nitrocompany.com/pattern.htm#recommended%20shells

I bought a mossburg 500 20 gauge pump for my wife. it was used and paid 125 for it. well when we got home tonight I went to cycle some rounds through it to see how it fed and see if there was a plug in the tube or not (see how many shells it would hold) and noticed an issue.... with the action open I can put a shell in place and it cycles (closes the action) when I eject that shell and cycle the next round the pump action stays locked back on it even though there is a round sitting there can anyone tell me what would cause this?
