It is almost entertaining to watch people deal with the rain around here. What probably is second nature for most of you guys, can be life or death over here. It's sad that people can't take care of themselves....

We've had some substantial flooding in the rural areas, but nothing that should put anybody in danger.

The rain is a welcome site for the farmers around here. It's a warm storm (I think we are at 55* right now) which is good because our citrus won't freeze. However, California is so backwards about brush control (mark my words) within 3-5 years we will have some catastrophic fires in the State.

Our native grasses (in the valley) in the spring, generally get only ankle deep. With this storm it will probably grow to more than knee deep.

It's gonna be an interesting spring. We still have a week of storms left and one of those storms is supposed to be pretty big.   ]]> Mon, 20 Dec 2010 09:55:04 Colin
